The reason most people never reach their goals is that they do not define them or ever seriously consider them as believable or achievable. Winners can tell you where they are going, what they plan to do along the way, and who will be sharing the adventure with them. Most winners will not have got there on their own, the most successful people use coaches. After all two heads are better than one. By working together we can make things happen quicker.
As your creativity coach, here’s what you get from me that differs from other creativity coaches:
- As a creative myself, a qualified professional graphic designer with 11 years of dynamic and varied experience in the creative industry I truly understanding the creative process, and have direct experience and empathy of your creative needs and desires.
- Brainstorming experience - problem solving, generating and bouncing ideas to help you explore different alternatives and get you into action. I have creative lateral thinking tools and techniques to get you out of your creative “blocks” – when inspirational ideas slows down or dries up leaving you feeling uninspired, unmotivated, unable to create.
- My in-depth knowledge of how the creative industry works (or doesn’t work!) and all the joys, challenges and frustrations that encompasses where to find ideas, how to decide what idea to work on, how to develop an idea, how to market creative work, how to find an artistic community, and so on.
- Unlike many creatives I possess organisational and time-management skills. I learnt these skills and so can you, I love planning and I have various techniques on how to help you be more organised and utilize your time more effectively.
- I am hugely passionate about creative self-expression and am constantly exploring new and alternative ways of doing so, in various forms such as making music, singing, dance, and visual arts - design, image making. Hence I can offer you relevant tips and resources from my own vast library of information collected over the years.
- I can provide you with a fresh perspective on your creative work, from a creative point of view.
- I can help you make a career change or start a business – I have direct experience in changing career, having made the transition from full-time graphic design employee to self-employed freelance designer to creativity coach and business owner. It may seem like a huge leap from designer to coach – but as mentioned above you can see that there are many transferable skills from one to another, on top of other skills I utilize in coaching.
- I am professionally trained by Results Coaching Systems (RCS), an International Coaching Federation (ICF) recognised training school, The RCS training forms part of the University of Portsmouth’s MSC in Coaching and Development in UK as well as at NYC University, New York, USA.
